"Nanabohzo (or Nanabush) is derived from Chippawa tribe Native American folklore and is the name of a Trickster God. I read up on the tale and the storyline really appealed to me and so I used it as the basis for the opening track on the album.
I tried to keep that Native American beat in mind whilst composing the piece and let the rhythms jump and skip, as the Bluebirds did in the paint!
In keeping with the albums' underlying focus/message, here is another example of the World being changed
(and hopefully being put back 'on track'

Lyrics
Waterfall reflecting - blank canvass flowers in his meadow
Taking up his paint and brush - he moves to sit away in tall grasses
Oh Nanabush! Nanabohzo!
The pots are all laid out on the green - inspires him to paint in a pretty sequence.
Some strokes for the violets and a little for the tiger lillies
Oh Nanabush! Nanabohzo!
Bluebirds flying on the breeze, test the wind lifting their wings into the blue
They catch the paints on tips of feathers, lifts them high
Through the spray, on the way upward, painting the sky
Now rainbow colours ride the mist and sun, a brilliant shimmering archway
Oh Nanabush! Nanabohzo!
And so the colours ride the sky
A tale of Nanabohzo and the Rainbow
