Guy Manning 's most assured work to date, by far his best vocal performance and
some of the most accomplished instrumental work he's ever recorded.
On "The Ragged Curtain", an epic 30-minute work, (reminiscent of Peter Hammill's
"Flight" at times in structure) the songwriting is top quality.
Guitarist Gareth Harwood is particularly good and there's some fine Hammond
organ work too.
Flute and sax is provided by Laura Fowles and Mostly Autumn's Angela Goldthorpe
together, adding some really melodic work throughout the album.
